About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Project Manager to join our fast-growing, award-winning sports technology company to help take our SaaS platform ‘ClubSpark’ to the next level. Our mission is to enable people to be active through the use of technology and our clients include some of the most famous brands and organisations in sport.

Role Purpose
This role is responsible for overseeing the project management and delivery of Sportlabs technology projects across the whole project life cycle.

‪Key Responsibilities:

·     Support a multidisciplinary development team to deliver projects to scope, deadline, quality and budget
·     Coach team in Agile delivery and advocate broadening and acceptance of Agile within the organisation
·     Work with the CTO and development team to ensure clarity of project scope and appropriate estimates
·     Communicate with partners to understand requirements, incorporate feedback and schedule project delivery
·     Report project progress to company board and propose risk mitigation strategies
·     Plan timely reviews / retrospectives and implement improvements to the overall process

Required knowledge and experience:

·     Agile delivery of software projects
·     Experience in leading teams, problem solving, progress monitoring and managing risk
·     Fully client-facing – you will be responsible for client comms around projects
·     Self-starting with ability to empower teams and colleagues to focus on achieving goals
·     Strong but personable – you will be working with a small, highly collaborative team
·     Hands on – as a small, expanding, busy organisation, proactivity and willingness to get involved is vital
·     Strategic approach to planning, executing and delivering projects over the longer term
·     Attention to detail – ensuring that requirements are up to scratch for the team, and quality of delivery to clients
·     Think beyond the brief; be willing to question decisions made by internal or external stakeholders
·     Confident user of Jira and Confluence – Jira is used as the backbone of all development within the team
·     Identify and escalate resource issues/shortages ahead of time
·     Financial management of projects

Beneficial knowledge and experience:

·     Recognised project management qualification orequal experience (e.g. PRINCE2, APMP, Agile certification)
·     Experience using Umbraco CMS would be beneficial
·     Experience in a digital agency, or similar fast-paced environment
