DevOps Engineer / DevOps Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our engineering team in the UK in ensuring the smooth delivery, performance, and scalability of our platform. As a DevOps Engineer at Clubspark, you will play acritical role in ensuring the smooth delivery, performance, and scalability of our platform. You will work closely with development, product, and infrastructure teams to automate and optimise CI/CD pipelines, implement infrastructure as code (IaC), and improve system observability &reliability. You will also contribute to building scalable, efficient infrastructure and enhance automation across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

●       CI/CD Pipeline Management – design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy

●       Automation – develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and scaling. Implement infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible

●       Cloud Infrastructure – manage and optimise cloud infrastructure (Azure), ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Use automation to scale resources as needed

●       Monitoring & Performance Optimization – set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems(Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) to ensure platform performance, reliability, and quick incident resolution. Ensure SLAs and performance KPIs are met

●       Collaboration – work closely with development teams to integrate automated processes into their workflows. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments

●       Security & Compliance – Implement security best practices and ensure compliance across all cloud infrastructure. Automate, security checks, and vulnerability scans as part of the CI/CD pipelines

●       Incident Response &Troubleshooting – assist in incident response and post-incident analysis to ensure the platform’s reliability, and resilience

●       Documentation – document processes, automation scripts, and workflows to maintain knowledge continuity within the team

Skills, knowledge & experience required:

Essential Skills and Experience

●       2 + years of experience inDevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or System Administration roles with a focus onautomation

●       Hands-on experience with AWS,Azure, or GCP, especially services such as Kubernetes (AKS/EKS etc.), SQL,Mongo, Cloudflare, and others

●       Proven experience with CI/CDtools like Github Actions, Octopus Deploy, or similar

●       Proficient in automation toolsand scripting languages such as Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar

●       Familiarity withcontainerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS)

●       Strong troubleshooting skillswith a proven ability to resolve infrastructure and deployment issues quickly

●       Knowledge of cloud security best practices and implementing secure solutions within infrastructure automation

Great if you also have

●       Familiarity with sports technology and software platforms

●       Interest in or previous experience working in Sports

●       Previous experience working in a global Company or software Company
