Job Title: Interim Senior QA Engineer / Fixed Term Role for 1 year

Location: Remote / Hybrid working (office located in Vauxhall, SE1)

Hours: 35 hours a week

We are looking for an Interim Senior QA Engineer to assess software quality through manual and automated testing.

You will be someone who is good at breaking things, with responsibility for hunting down bugs and glitches. You will collaborate with our Head of QA to design, maintain and execute automated testing of API and Web products.

This role also includes responsibilities in automation testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop effective test strategies and test plans within the projects
  • Design, write and maintain manual and automated test scenarios via tools and features
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse business requirements, design documents and other project documents to determine risk factors and critical test conditions
  • Execute automated tests and manage the bug log and help troubleshoot issues by investigation when things go wrong on production
  • Ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place and kept up to date
  • Identify and report to product teams questionable functions, performance concerns, and inconsistencies
  • Lead and mentor remotely located other QA engineers
  • Ability to take ownership and deliver medium and large sized projects while mentoring and directing team members
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Skills, knowledge & experience required:

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior QA Engineer or similar role (references required if you are offered the role)
  • Experience in testing web and mobile applications using both manual and automation for e.g. Functional, Non-Functional, Regression, Smoke, E2E and API testing
  • Understanding of risk based to testing approach and defining the mitigation plans
  • Proficient in defect verification, defect logging, and assisted of root cause analysis for timely resolution of defects
  • Experience using Atlassian toolkit – JIRA & Confluence
  • Experience working in a Scrum environment with active involvement in daily meetings
  • Experience in leading the remotely located onshore and offshore teams
  • Managing and keeping track of the releases happening
  • Good team interaction including collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution

Great if you also have

  • Experience with TestRail
  • Web Test automation experience using Selenium, Katalon Studio or Cypress.io (Preferred).
  • Language or Platform: Java Script (Preferred)/Typescript/Groovy
  • Experience using source control management with GIT Hub
  • Experience with cloud – AWS or Azure is a plus
  • Experience in Performance Testing
  • Practical experience of Test automation on a broad range of Mobile Devices and simulators
  • Interest in sport
