About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic UX team! We're looking for a talented and methodical UX Designer to join our product team. The role will work very closely with our VP Product, Head of Design, Solution Architects and Product Managers to understand business and user requirements and help design new features for the Clubspark product.

You'll have solid research skills and must have experience in gathering requirements, conducting user research and usability testing along with ability to run workshops, create wireframes, prototypes and other deliverables to help communicate your ideas.

This could be the opportunity for you. Clubspark is looking for an accomplished UX expert, someone with a formal or practical training in all the psychological and design principles and methodologies surrounding UCD, from research methodologies to heuristic evaluation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct research/use data to inform decision making on product design
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews & facilitate expert user groups
  • Create experiences – using appropriate methodology: personas, journeys, wireframes, interaction design, information architecture, prototypes and metrics
  • Put users at centre of all features designed
  • Have enough product/technical knowledge to explain needs to developers
  • Work with entire team to bring experiences to life throughout development lifecycle
  • Find pragmatic solutions when challenges arise

Skills, knowledge & experience required:

  • At least 3 years of user centred design experience in UX roles
  • Full knowledge of theoretical and practical UX design rules (e.g. heuristics) with evidence of application of best practice UX approaches and how to apply them
  • Experience with UX Usability Testing and other Research methodologies
  • You'll have created prototypes (low/mid fidelity)using standard prototyping tools e.g Axure, Balsamiq, Figma, Sketch although you’re not a Visual Designer
  • Experience of designing responsively
  • Find ways to educate others in UX methods & UCD
  • Experience working in a Lean / Agile methodology
  • Experience in and passion for sport and technology
  • Must have portfolio featuring examples of E2E design solutions
  • Proven experience delivering a high standard of output in fast paced environment
